Morning Forums: 11:00 a.m.

Creating a Weekly Program: We will look at the various formats each ministry uses. How often does your group meet? Do you use small groups? How do you plan out your weekly schedule? What are your best methods for time management? What role do games play in your weekly program? What does your ministry week look like and how can you best utilize the time you have with your students each week?

Transition Points: Where does your Jr. High ministry start and finish? What do you do for your students entering into your ministry and how do you celebrate the lives of the students exiting your ministry for High School?

Teaching 101: There are many different learning and teaching styles that we can utilize within Jr. High ministry. Does straight-up sermon style teaching work for your kids? Do you have a preposition that drives your lesson? How does the teaching differ between small groups and large group gatherings? We will look at how to teach, so that each learning style is engaged and how to utilize the skills that you have as a communicator.

Afternoon Forums: 1:45 p.m.

Social Media: How do you use social media within your ministry? Do you have a Facebook page, Facebook group, or a Twitter account for your ministry events? How do you communicate quickly to students that are under thirteen and cannot have their own Facebook page? Communication is essential to Jr. High ministry, so how do you communicate effectively using the online tools of today's growing internet culture?

Anatomy of a Volunteer: What roles do your volunteers play in your ministry? If you are a volunteer, what are your expectations for the ministry and the kids that you lead? As a leader, what do you expect from your volunteers? How do you create a strong team dynamic between your volunteers? Whether you are a volunteer or a Jr. High pastor, this time will be for you to talk about expectations surrounding both the volunteer and leader.

Parents 101: How do you communicate with parents? How do you get parents on board with your ministry vision and philosophy? Do you use parents as volunteers? Jr. High ministry cannot function without creating strong relationships with the parents and adults that bring our students to our lessons, events and retreats each week.

We are looking forward to Saturday, March 26th but most of all, we are excited to see YOU there!

Never be underestimated
