Think Youth Ministry friends  Damon, Kafi Ealey, and their two boys Asher and Zuriel live in Japan and they have a blog that shares their heart for Japan inlight of the recent tragedy.family-pictures-587_2 Ealey Blog Here's a quote from their recent blog post:

Many of you have emailed us asking what you can do and this is my response:

1.  Pray for God to move in Japan.  With a population 1/2 of America and 4 times the population of Canada, only 1% know the Lord.

  • Pray for workers in the power plants, for heavenly wisdom and insight and safety

  • Pray for the believers in Japan, the Christian organizations and churches to rise up in unity and take hold of opportunities to demonstrate Christ

  • Pray that the Japanese people themselves would have supernatural encounters with Christ

  • Pray specifically for us that we would have eyes to see the opportunities around us to shine light and speak words of peace and hope to our friends, neighbours, etc.

2.  Give to the relief efforts.  I will be adding a tap to our blog, that will list organizations in which we know the people personally or have a professional connection with.

Thank you SO much for partnering with us, for believing in us, for praying with us!! We appreciate you greatly!!

February 3rd, 2011

Luca had his CT Scan at 3:30pm today and we got the news that the swelling of the brain has not reduced yet. The doctors told us from the beginning that it could take up to 5 days for the swelling to go down. The goal right now is to keep him sedated (and paralized) for the next couple of days and do another CT Scan on Saturday. They will give him manitol to help dehydrate the brain so the swelling could reduce quicker. PLEASE make it a priority in prayer the next few days to pray that the swelling in Luca's brain would go down.

The doctor told me today that it was great that he was responding well with his movements (arms, feet, body would move all over when he coughed, etc) with his brain still being swell.

He also has no more medicine to monitor his blood pressure since 3am this morning--he had three different types of medicine 2 days ago.

He has come along way so we need to thank God for what he is doing and for what he will continue to do.

WE love you all very much and covet all your prayers during this time...

Blessings,

Jimmy
