Biography: Brad's passion is to "speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and ensure justice for those being crushed" as it says in Proverbs 31. As World Vision's representative for Southwestern Ontario, he has had the privilege of speaking to thousands of children, students, and adults about the issues of global poverty and God's call to love the poor, the oppressed, and the marginalized. Brad is also passionate about seeing the church mobilized to change the world by putting faith into action, being a light in the darkness, and bringing the hope and healing of the Kingdom of God face to face with a broken world.
Brad grew up in Toronto, and earned his B.R.E. from Tyndale University College. He has been a youth pastor, and worked in the Christian book industry for over 14 years, but has only recently truly understood God's call to be Good News to the poor and the oppressed - due in large part to the ministry of his home church in Waterloo where he and his wife Rebecca have been attending for over eight years. Brad is a bit of a social networking junkie - you can find him on Twitter, Facebook, or at his blog writing about poverty, social justice, his walk with Christ, or the deeper things of life - like whether to eat Indian, Mexican, or Thai food for lunch!
