Westside Christian School was founded on the west side of Vancouver in 2002. We are a nondenominational Christian school offering Kindergarten to Grade 9. At Westside Christian parents can be assured that traditional academic learning outcomes will be met. We believe, however, that the acquisition of knowledge for knowledge's sake, is by itself an empty pursuit. Consequently, the Christian education we offer strives to infuse the knowledge acquired with a Biblical world view. Such an approach will result in students who have not only knowledge in their heads, but the love of God and of neighbour in their hearts. Westside Christian also offers a unique and non-traditional approach to the whole process of learning. This emanates from our belief that each child is unique, having been wonderfully and deliberately made by God. This uniqueness demands a departure from a one size fits all approach. Consequently, our model strives to ensure that each child receives an education that takes into consideration individual learning styles and academic ability such that, in result, not only will traditional learning outcomes be met or exceeded, but more importantly, full potential achieved.
